Green Finance
What is green finance?
Green finance is lending designed specifically for sustainable products like solar panels, batteries, electric vehicles, and energy-efficient home upgrades. Our loans are carbon-offset and structured so your energy savings help cover the repayments.
What does 'cost-neutral' actually mean?
It means we structure your finance so that the money you save on your electricity bills helps offset your loan repayments. The goal is for the switch to clean energy to be affordable from day one, rather than requiring a large upfront outlay.
Is Lucent licensed to provide finance?
Yes. Lucent Green Finance Pty Ltd is a Credit Representative (CRN 494026) of Purple Circle Financial Services Pty Ltd (ACL 486112). We operate under Australian credit licensing requirements.
Eligibility & Applications
Am I eligible for green finance?
Eligibility depends on your circumstances, including your income, credit history, and the product you're financing. The best way to find out is to request a free assessment, a specialist will review your situation and present suitable options.
Do I need to own my home?
Many of our products suit both homeowners and those with a mortgage. Whether you own outright or are still paying off your home, we can tailor options, including using home equity to invest in sustainable upgrades.
How long does an application take?
Applications are designed to be fast and straightforward. After your free assessment, we guide you through the paperwork and keep you informed at every stage.
Repayments
How are my repayments structured?
Repayment terms are tailored to your projected energy savings and circumstances. We aim to align repayments with your savings so the overall impact on your budget is minimal.
Can I pay my loan off early?
Repayment flexibility depends on your specific loan product. We'll explain the terms clearly before you commit, including any options to make extra repayments.
Products & Warranties
What warranties come with solar and batteries?
We only install tier-one panels and reliable inverters and batteries, many of which carry performance warranties of up to 25 years. Exact coverage depends on the products selected for your system.
What is a Virtual Power Plant (VPP)?
A VPP connects your home battery to a network of others, feeding stored energy back into the grid when it's most valuable. You earn premium feed-in tariffs and help stabilise the grid, turning your battery into an income-generating asset.
Can I add a battery to an existing solar system?
In most cases, yes. We assess your existing system and recommend a compatible battery sized to your evening usage, then handle the installation and configuration.
